Bracers. Forearm protection.
Bracers from Wojmir created just for You. Do you ask yourself how to protect your forearms from blows or a striking bowstring? Want to feel safe? You’ve come to the right place! With my over 20 years of experience and thousands of completed products, I assure you that in the protectors made by me you will fight without hesitation in historical reenactment, SCA, LARP or Cosplay. I use only natural materials such as leather, wool, linen or beeswax. I make the protectors entirely by hand, which is a rarity these days.
Natural leather combat bracers.
Yes. I use only the highest quality thick cowhide, which I then cure in natural beeswax. Thanks to this, the leather gains complete water resistance and at the same time hardness suitable for protection. The inner side of the protector is covered with a thin layer of padding for maximum comfort. The hems of the edges made of beautiful grain leather add stiffness to the protector and improve their appearance.
The history of bracers.
The history dates back to ancient civilizations such as Greece, Rome and Egypt. These early bracers were made of leather or metal and were mainly used for protection in battle. When the use of archery became more widespread, bracers were used to protect the forearm from breaking the string. During the medieval period, bracers were used by knights as a form of armor to protect the forearm during battle. Due to the lack of finds of bracers from the early Middle Ages. It uses leather and adapts the form to the contemporary expectations of historical reenactors. Today, they have evolved into a popular fashion accessory worn by people who want to add a touch of medieval style to their outfits. They come in a variety of styles and materials, from leather to metal and even plastic.
For archers.
Do you shoot a bow? So you need a bracers? They are made of wonderful natural leather, soft enough to not restrict your movements, and at the same time hard enough for the protectors to eliminate accidental blows of the bowstring, which could hurt you.
Are you playing a Viking character?
If you play the character of a Viking, you will definitely like my bracers. Leather was widely used in the early Middle Ages. Strong, well-greased, waterproof… it’s a great raw material for all kinds of gear. So when fighting with swords or axes, bracers will complete your armament.
