In 1943, the Norwegian site Gjermundbu became the location of an extraordinary discovery – a Viking warrior’s grave, containing valuable artifacts. Among these treasures was the only fully preserved Viking helm, which continues to captivate historians and history enthusiasts.

The Gjermundbu helm, dated to the 10th century, combines practical protection with the craftsmanship of ancient blacksmiths. Its distinctive design – a hemispherical dome, nasal guard, and chainmail protecting the neck – makes it one of the most important symbols of Northern warriors.
